In the beginning

Manufactured Alloy Xtras was started in 1995 by Max and his wife Ann. Based in Castle Hill NSW, they manufactured bullbars, nudge bars, and ladder racks. They quickly outgrew the premises and moved to Girraween, followed later by a move to Weatherill Park.

As the business continued to grow the focus shifted from bullbars and nudge bars to alloy trays, tool boxes, and canopies, while continuing to manufacture ladder racks and offering more custom bar work.

We're a family business

It was meant to be that Max’s sons, Ross and Steven, would work full-time alongside their Dad. They’d been helping out in the factory since they were young so were the perfect fit for helping to grow the business with their visions and ideas.

When Max moved into semi-retirement Ross took on the role of Company Director, with the support of his brother Steven, and his wife, Simone. In 2020 Steven’s wife, Haylee, also joined the business.

MAX Alloy truly are a family-owned and operated business. If you pop in to visit you may even see some of the next generation of MAX Alloy in the factory keeping everyone on their toes!

New beginnings

In September 2018 Ross spoke with his Dad about  moving the business to the Central Coast of NSW within the next 3-5 years. Max and Ann had already moved to the Central Coast and Max was so excited that his boys and their families wanted to move closer to them that he went out the next day to find a factory!

There was a 3-month wait to get the keys to their newly-built premises and they officially opened in January 2019.

And Now...

While waiting for the new factory to be built, the family decided their new focus would be manufacturing Ladder racks, Alloy Trays, Custom Racking Systems, and Service Body Fitouts.

With all trays and racks exclusive to Manufactured Alloy Xtras, they’ve developed sections which means you can choose from a unique range of products.

MAX Alloy are still old-fashioned and build their trays from scratch. They’re all about supplying you with the very best aluminium accessories for your vehicle and believe that customer service is very important.
